SOUTH HAVEN, MI (WKZO-AM/FM) – Drinking water is an issue in a community just south of the Lakeshore.
A boil-water-advisory has been issued along Blue Star Highway in South Haven, all of Casco Township in southwest Allegan County, and parts of South Haven Township following a water main break that may resulted in a loss in pressure that introduced contaminants into the system. As a precaution, South Haven and Covert Schools, along with the Bronson Wellness Center will be closed today.
Some parts of the impacted area lost water service altogether last evening. It was expected to be restored overnight but health officials still want you to either boil or buy your water until lab tests show the tap water is safe to drink.
