HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – Greater Ottawa County United Way will host its annual Rake-A-Difference volunteer event in honor of Veteran’s Day.
Volunteers head to neighborhoods and help people who are unable to rake or clean up their yard in the fall due to physical or financial limitations. Individuals, families, friends and groups are invited to sign up to volunteer for the event on Saturday, November 18 from 9:00-12:00 p.m.
If you or someone you know needs help with raking due to physical or financial hardship—or if you wish to rake as an individual or a team—please contact Shannon LaHaie by calling (616) 396-7811 x206 or sending an email to slahaie@ottawaunitedway.org. The deadline to sign up is Monday, October 23. Volunteers will receive their assignments prior to November 18.
