A couple of matters headline tonight’s work-study session for the Holland City Council.
One issue involved the search for a new permanent city manager. The panel had asked city staff to request proposals from nine executive search firms to assist in the process, and according to interim City Manager Greg Robinson, six proposals had been received as of Monday. He will be asking council this evening to review those proposals and be prepared to determine priorities and desired results from those firms in order to narrow down the finalists. Robinson added that interviews with representatives of those finalists should be conducted next month.
Also on tonight’s work-study session agenda: An update on developing the new “Washington School Green” off of West 11th Street and Maple Avenue, at the site of the former Washington School campus; the status of bid package number 2 in the Civic Center Place project; and scheduling Coffee with Council and Council Retreat dates for early next year as part of the annual budget-making process for Fiscal 2019.
The work-study session is open to the public and convenes at 5:30 this evening at Holland City Hall. A link to documents pertaining to this is here.
