JAMESTOWN TWP, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – A 23-year-old man from Saranac is dead after being struck on his motorcycle.
Ottawa County Sheriff deputies and the Jamestown Fire Department were dispatched to the scene at the intersection of 8th Avenue and Adams Street in Jamestown Township around 5:15 p.m. Friday, September 15.
Sgt. Cal Kuening says Devon Kurzhals was eastbound on his motorcycle on Adams Street when 85-year-old William Vansetten of Bryon Center stopped at the stop sign on 8th Avenue. As Vansetten’s vehicle entered the intersection, Kurzhal’s motorcycle struck him.
Kurzhal was pronounced dead at the scene. Vansetten was treated at the scene for minor injuries by Life EMS.
The crash remains under investigation.
