HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – Republican State Representative Mary Whiteford of Casco Township will be holding a town hall meeting on how to fix the state’s no-fault auto insurance system.
The town hall will beheld in Holland at the Fillmore Township Hall. For years lawmakers have been unsuccessful in bringing down premiums. Whiteford says Michigan is the most expensive state in the country according to a recent study.
“It’s unacceptable. We need to do something now.”
The town hall meeting is on Monday, September 18 and will start at 6:00 p.m. at Fillmore Township Hall located at 4219 52nd St in Holland.
One of the main sticking point has been the unlimited medical benefits paid to people who suffer catastrophic injuries in crashes.
