HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office is now taking applications for the 2018 Citizen Police Academy.
Twenty-five residents will get an inside look at Ottawa County’s Sheriff’s Office in the Citizen Police Academy. The Academy is a 12-session program offered annually.

Marine Patrol & Dive Team Duties

Sheriff’s E-Unit Duties & DemonstrationCriminal Scientific Support Unit & Crime Scene Investigation
Use of force Explanation & DemonstrationsFirearms Range & Simulator
Sheriff’s Office Special Operations
Criminal Justice Legal SystemAccident & Fatal Accident Investigations

Applicants must be 18 years of age or older, live or work in Ottawa County, No Misdemeanor arrests within one year of application and No prior felony arrests is a requirement.
Most sessions will be held at the Ottawa County Fillmore Street Complex, Administration Building from 6-9PM. Applicants should be prepared to attend class on each of the following dates: February 15, February 22, March 1, March 8, March 15, March 22, March 29, April 12, April 19, April 26, May 3 and May 10
