HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – The Michigan Municipal League is holding their 2017 Convention in Holland this week.
The convention will run September 12 through the 15th and celebrate successes in community placemaking. From the opening day workshops to the closing session on The Legalization of Marijuana in Colorado: The Impact. The agenda is packed with workshops, meet-ups and more.
Holland Mayor Nancy DeBoer and Grand Rapids Mayor Rosalynn Bliss who is president of the Michigan Municipal League board of trustees will be in attendance. Parts of the convention will be streamed live on Facebook. Downtown Holland recently earned the “Great American Mainstreet” award.
The Michigan Municipal League’s motto is “We Love Where You Live,” and consciously using placemaking techniques is proven to help increase local quality of life while improving local economies.
