HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – Holland City Council members may have a long evening ahead of them.
During tonight’s regularly-scheduled business meeting, the panel is expected to approve scheduling hearings and votes for September 20th on annual parking and snowmelt assessments for downtown property owners, as well as a procedural first reading on an ordinance that would clarify and limit the quantity and type of items that can be stored in exterior yard areas at residential properties, and ratify a proposed four-year collective bargaining agreement with unionized firefighters.
Before they can go home for the night, council members will be asked to hold a special work-study session after the meeting in order to be updated on the Civic Center project, including its schedule and budget, in the wake of last month’s fatal work-site accident that stopped operations for about two weeks.
An online link to the agenda and attached documents is here. The business meeting begins at 7 PM in Council Chambers at Holland City Hall.
