HOLLAND TWP, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – A two-vehicle crash during Thursday’s afternoon commute has a Dorr man listed in stable condition at Spectrum Butterworth Hospital.
The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched near the exit ramp at I-196 and Adams Street in Holland Township. around 5:21 p.m. Sgt. Cal Kuening says that 47-year-old Melissa Vanderven-Jackson was turning onto Adams Street off the exit ramp of I-196 when she was struck by a vehicle driven by Douglas Hoeve of Door who was westbound on Adams Street.
Both of the vehicles received heavy front-end damage. The 62-year-old Dorr man who was not wearing his seatbelt was transported by AMR ambulance to Spectrum Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids in stable condition. Vanderven-Jackson was treated at the scene and released.
The crash remains under investigation.
