JAMESTOWN TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – Two suspects have been arrested in a series of break-ins in the Jamestown Twp. area.
The suspects were apprehended just before 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 24, in the city of Wyoming near the area of 28th and Burlingame with assistance from the Wyoming Police Department. Several Silent Observer tips placed the suspects near their apartment complex.
The 35-year-old male suspect has an extensive criminal history and along with the 22-female suspect they in possession of several stolen items. Their names will be released after their arraignment. The two are lodged at the Ottawa County Jail on home invasion first charges.
According to Capt. Mark Bennett of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office three home invasions, several vehicle larceny cases, and at least one business burglary were reported the Sheriff’s Department since August 10th. Most of the break-ins occurred on 32nd Ave near Greenly St. in Hudsonville. The time of day varies for all of the incidents and forced entry was used in nearly all of the cases.
Some of the items reported stolen in the incidents included credit cards. electronics, and cash. One of the credit cards stolen was used at an area business where surveillance footage was taken of two suspects, a man and a woman.
Bennett thanks the media and public for their community partnership in assisting law enforcement. Two hours after the news release was issued, the suspects were arrested.
