LANSING, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – State Representative Roger Victory has joined the long list of potential candidates for one of the open Michigan State Senate Seats.
On November 6 of 2018, constituents will be able to vote in the midterm election to fill up all 38 state senate seats. A handful of local legislative representatives are in the talks for a state senate seat, including State Rep. Daniela Garcia, and Allegan County Clerk Bob Genetski.
Former state House Rep. Joe Haveman has already submitted paperwork to be on the ballot.
State Representative Roger Victory is also thinking about his bid for senate and is trying to scope out what the public would expect of him as a state senator. He says that he is “aggressively exploring this potential” and will be making a definite decision on whether he’s running or not by this fall.
A new U.S. senator will also be chosen during the 2018 election, with the incumbent Debbie Stabenow running against Lena Epstein, Robert Young Jr, or possibly Kid Rock.
