HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – A free history walk and campfire will take place this evening at Holland State Park.
This program is a partnership between Holland State Park and the Holland Museum and will include interactive activities to make history come alive. Participants will hike the original channel, decipher Ojibwe sayings, and trade bigger and better all while learning the history of Native Americans in the Holland area.
The program will be held at the Explorer Tent in the Lake Macatawa/Overflow Campground. Please park along the road or in the lot adjacent the campground office. A recreation passport is required to park within State Park property.
The walk is from 7-9 p.m. and you’re asked to wear sturdy walking shoes and dress for the weather.
