HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – Applebee’s Grill and Bar in Holland is hosting a Tap Takeover that will benefit several local animal rescue agencies.
Along with BestPals Rescue, Al-Van Humane Society, Harbor Humane Society and Bell’s Brewery will benefit from the event “Applebee’s Ales for Tales” on Thursday, August 3, from 6-9 p.m. You can also dine to donate from 11-9 p.m.and 20% of all food and non-alcoholic sales including carside to go will go towards the charities.
Michelle Kenat is Executive Director of BestPals Rescue in Holland and says she sees a lot of people adopting an animal and they really don’t know what they are getting into.
“They see an adorable puppy or kitten and the next thing they know they take it to the Vet and it has fleas, needs shots and $200 later they have what they thought was a free pet. So a lot of times people will call and say they can’t keep their pet. Pet food costs so much, Vet bills are high and it adds up.”
VIP tables are available to reserve for only $50. Your table will receive 1 free appetizer, 1 raffle entry per person and a “doggie Bag” filled with an assortment of goodies! Contact Corina Medoza at (616) 786-4446 to reserve a table.
Applesbee’s in Holland is located at 3134 Beeline Rd.
