WEST OLIVE, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – Sheriff Steve Kempker has announced new values, vision and mission for the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office.
In a press release, the Sheriff’s Office states that their mission will be to provide professional ethical law enforcement and correctional services, focusing on customer service. To support the Constitution of the United States and to enforce all laws to preserve public order, reduce crime and provide safe and secure environments in our communities.
The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office envisions a safe, secure community where the rights, history and culture of every citizen is valued.
“We will achieve this this vision by collaborating with our communities to identify and solve public safety problems and and improve the quality of life in Ottawa County. We will be an organization in which each employeee embraces intregrity as the cornerstone upon which the public’s trust in built. We will foster an environment of honesty, trust and mutual respect in which the Sheriff’s Office and the community work together.”
On Wednesday, July 26, The Sheriff’s Office will hold a news conference at their offices located at 12220 Fillmore Street in West Olive at 9:00 a.m. They will introduce two new K9 unit members and hold a special tribute naming on of the K9’s.
