HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM.FM) – A West Michigan mobile app developer will host a free workshop on Thursday, July 20, at the Howard Miller Community Center in Zeeland.
Julie Abel of Saugatuck is owner of JabberDesign Mobile App Development. She says her product is a hyper-localized offering that enables those in industries such as golf courses, restaurants, churches, nonprofits and realtors to increase social media activity, online reviews, local search engine rankings and customer loyalty.
According to Abel, mobile app technology has increased rapidly in recent years with more than 75 percent of Americans owning smartphones and the number of mobile-only internet users surpassing desktop-only internet users in 2015.
“I also recognized that here in West Michigan many small businesses did not have mobile apps. So what I set out to do was to help small businesses grow by increasing their local search engines rankings, social media activity, online reviews and customer loyality, which they can do using mobile apps.”
The free workshop at 8:30am ET on Thursday, July 20, at the Howard Miller Community Center located at 14 South Church Street in Zeeland. Attendees will learn about the nearly endless possibilities to better communicate with customers through apps.
