HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – A four car pile-up near the Speedway on 136th Ave in Holland sent four people to the hospital, including a toddler.
According to Brent Converse of the Ottawa County Sherriff Department, three cars were stopped at a red traffic light on southbound 136th Ave and River Ave. 21-year-old Francisco Ramirez was approaching the stopped cars, failed to slow down, and struck the back of a vehicle, causing a chain reaction of damage to the other vehicles in the line.
It is unknown what distractions led to the pile-up
The three people who were in the car that Ramirez- Pablo hit were Jordan Valdo, Marisela Martinez, and a three-year-old girl. The adults received non-life threatening injuries and were treated at Holland Hospital. The three-year-old was pinned in her car seat in the back of the vehicle and had to be extricated by Holland Twp. Fire Department. She was critically injured and taken to DeVos Children’s Hospital by Aeromed. The two other vehicles involved in the crash were driven by Francis Loud and Brent Exo, who were both uninjured.
Ramirez-Pablo received serious injuries from the crash and is being treated at Holland Hospital.
