TALLMADGE TWP, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – A 29-year-old Grand Rapids man was found semi-conscious in his vehicle Sunday morning, July 9, in Tallmadge Township.
Deputies from the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office found the man’s BMW Sedan upside down in at field at Luce Street and 24th Avenue around 7:00 a.m. Sgt. Bob Ruster says when deputies arrived at the scene the vehicle was cold leading them to believe the crash occurred several hours before 7:00 a.m.
Investigation shows that Prem Patel was eastbound on Luce Street and traveled off the south side of the roadway near the curve of the road when the vehicle then struck a ditch, became airborne, rolled over and came to rest upside down in a field.
Patel was found in his vehicle semi-conscious with a head and neck injury. He was extricated from his vehicle and transported to Spectrum Hospital. His current condition is unknown.
