HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – A program that helps the Lakeshore’s Hispanic youth is getting a financial shot in the arm.
In a ceremony at their West 15th Street offices tomorrow morning, officials of Latin Americans United for Progress will receive a 15 thousand-dollar check from AT&T to support the Adelante youth program. This program provides tutoring and mentoring to youngsters from 8th to 12th grade, along with leading field trips and directing community service efforts. The presentation is in conjunction with the opening of a new computer lab at LAUP’s offices.
