6/25 Sunday: Resident Appreciation Day at Holland Aquatic Center Free Admission for Residents of the Holland Public School District with a valid ID! 550 Maple Ave, Holland; 1 PM – 5 PM; Free.
6/26 Monday: Women’s Self-Defense at True JEM Productions- Empower yourself by ensuring you know ways to protect yourself! The instructor, Angel Burns, is a black belt in Tae Park Tae Kwon Do and is passionate about helping everyone feel safe, no matter what situation they may encounter. This is a family-friendly workshop for ages 11 and up. Participants should wear comfortable clothing – workout, dance, or yoga gear – and prepare for a physically active class. 6/27 Tuesday: East Grand Boulevard – A Farewell Tour at the Holland Armory- The Vintage Car Club of Holland has invited Packard author and historian Jim Balfour, of Dowagiac, Michigan, to speak on the history of the Packard Car Factory. The program will include slides of the Packard Factory and will last 35-40 minutes before Q&A. 16 W 9th St, Holland; 7:30 PM – 9 PM; Free.
6/28 Wednesday: Guinness history and engraving night at The Curragh- The Curragh is proud to host a Guinness Ambassador straight from Ireland to teach us all about the history of the famous black stuff. She will also be giving out samples to taste starting at 5pm. Returning to the Curragh due to popular demand we will be doing the Guinness glass engraving. This has been a big hit over the last few years. Get you own Guinness glass custom engraved with your name or a message. The engraving starts at 6pm. 6/29 Thursday: A Grand Night for Singing at Baker Lofts- Enjoy the gifted singers from the Holland Chorale, West Michigan’s premier choral group, as they enthrall you with exquisite musical selections. 217 E 24th St, Holland; 6 PM – 9 PM; $125 per person includes appetizers, beer and wine, dinner and dessert. 6/30 Friday: Summer Concert Series at Kollen Park- The City of Holland Recreation Department is excited to announce that Meijer & The Stow Company will be sponsoring the summer concert series in 2017! The Summer Concerts at Kollen Park are one of the most popular spots to be on Friday evenings in the summer in Holland. From 6:30-8:30pm, the park comes alive with music and dancing. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets and a picnic basket and enjoy the sounds of summer. Please have pets on a leash. Alcohol is prohibited at Kollen Park. 7/1 Saturday: Herrickfest at Kollen Park- Join HDL at Kollen Park for a library event like no other! Enjoy music, games, food, and more as we celebrate reading and learning with the community! 240 Kollen Park Drive, Holland; 10am-2pm. Free.
