WASHINGTON, D.C. (WHTC) – Area Congressmen have taken to social media to let their constituents know about their welfare after a shooting at a baseball practice in Alexandria, Virginia Wednesday morning.
Zeeland Congressman Bill Huizenga released the following statement…
“My thoughts and prayers go out to Congressman Steve Scalise, his staff, and the brave men and women of the Capitol Police. If the Capitol Police Officers assigned to Whip Scalise had not been there, the events that unfolded at the Congressional Baseball Practice would have been much worse.”
St. Joesph Congressman Fred Upton released this statement….
“I am OK. My heart is going out to my friend Steve Scalise, his family, & all my colleagues, staff, & brave law enforcement who were injured in the shooting this morning.”
