PARK TWP., MI (WHTC) – The Macatawa Area Express is coming to Park Township.
The township board last night approved an agreement with the regional mass transit agency to begin Reserve-a-Max on demand bus service, starting with an inaugural “ride celebration” on July 31st. The decision came following a study conducted among township residents by the Macatawa Area Coordinating Council late last fall. The board agreed to allocate funds from the budget to pay for adding one bus to MAX’ current fleet at an estimated cost of 104 thousand dollars. The current fare schedule would remain the same.
Park Township joins the cities of Holland and Zeeland, along with Holland Township, as members of MAX, although there will initially be no new fixed bus routes into Park Township.
