Sunday 6/4: Funk Buddha Outdoor Community Class at Centennial Park- Summer means FREE OUTDOOR COMMUNITY CLASS!! Starting June 4th, the Sunday night community class is moving outside to Centennial Park (on the corner of Central and 10th Streets) for an hour of Funky Buddha Power Flow. All Ages Welcome. 250 Central Ave, Holland; 7 PM – 8 PM; Free.
Monday 6/5: Handgun Maintenance and Care at MI Firearms ETS- Bring your handgun, owner’s manual, and cleaning kit. We’ll teach you how to sufficiently breakdown your handgun, clean it properly, oil it correctly, and re-assemble it appropriately. The basics of operation and how to observe wear points on your firearm(s) will be covered during the event. 511 E 8th St, Holland; 6 PM – 9 PM;
Tuesday 6/6: Spring Knickerbocker Film Series: The Women’s Balcony- A major success in Israel, the film follows the challenges within an Orthodox Jewish community after a disaster forces its rabbi to take time off. A young rabbi arrives to help, and his fundamentalist leanings splits the close-knit community. It is a battle of the sexes that is both funny and insightful. The film is not rated and is in Hebrew with English subtitles. 86 East 8th Street, Holland; 7:30pm; $7 for regular admission and $6 for senior citizens, Hope College faculty and children.
Wednesday 6/7: Farmers Market at Eighth Street Market Place- Buy fresh produce, flowers, plants, baked goods, meats cheeses, spices and more from over 50 vendors. Enjoy breakfast or lunch at our Food Court. And from June 7 to August 23, we have Kids Activities starting at 9:30am. 150 West Eighth Street, Holland; 8am-2pm.
Thursday 6/8: Lakeshore Parade of Homes- A premier showcase of new homes along the Lakeshore. Presented by the Lakeshore Home Builders Association. Visit LakeshoreParadeofHomes.com to plan your route. 6pm-9pm; Adults $15.00, children 13 and under are free. Discounted tickets are available at Lake Michigan Credit Union.
Friday 6/9: Opening for 2017 Season for Bowerman Blueberries Farm Market- Come visit Bowerman Blueberries for all of your favorites – blueberry donuts, smoothies, blueberry soft serve, and much more! 15793 James St, Holland; 7 AM – 8 PM.
Saturday 6/10: Fishing Derby at Holland State Park- Meet at Holland State Park by the channel for a fishing derby! Being free fishing weekend, the whole family can participate, no license required. Prizes will be distributed within children’s age groups to those who catch the biggest fish. While the park has some gear, we encourage you to bring your own. 2215 Ottawa Beach Rd, Holland; 9:00 am – 12:00 pm; Free with the Recreation Passport.
