HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Tonight head back to a time when the cars were loud and so was the music.
It’s the “Remember When” Cruise and Car show brought to you by the Holland Vintage Car Club. Cars will cruise up and down 8th street with two-way traffic in downtown Holland. You’re invited to come out even if you don’t have a car and grab a lawn chair and enjoy. The cruise runs from 5 p.m. till 8:45 p.m.
John Bauman of Holland’s Vintage Car Club says they had over 200 cars last year and cars will be on display starting at 5:00 p.m.
” When you see the older cars, you reminiscense right away of I think better times. The 50’s and 60’s. For me it’s fun to restore a car. You accomplish something. It’s just a big hobby. People enjoy classic cars.”
The City of Holland says the club will being setting up car at 3 p.m.
The Vintage Car Club of Holland, a non-profit organization, was formed in 1974 and is dedicated to having fun while preserving vehicles and the old car hobby. Their roster includes cars from every decade from 1900 – 2000 and their motto is “Any year, any model, any condition.”
The Club meets at 7:30 pm on the fourth Tuesday of each month at the Holland City Fire Station #2 except for August and December.
