HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – There will be some intersections closed in Holland on Wednesday, May 31, as an oversize and overweight piece of machinery will be transported through the streets of downtown Holland sometime between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.
The City of Holland says Barnhart Crane and Rigging will be transporting the machinery through the city from US-31 exiting westbound 8th Street and then continuing to Lincoln Avenue. From there it will head north on Lincoln Avenue to westbound 7th Street until it reaches Pine Avenue where it will travel north to the Padnos Iron and Metal Facility.
There will be Police assistance and intersections may close as it passes by. Southbound motorists on Pine Avenue will be required to detour via 4th Street when the equipment makes the final turn off Pine Avenue and into the Padnos yard.
This operation will be repeated on Friday, June 2, 2017 for a 2nd piece of equipment. The same route will be followed, with Police assistance, and similar traffic restrictions at that time.
