PLAINWELL, MI (WHTC) – A small plane was found crashed in Gun Plains Township on Friday afternoon, according to an Allegan County Sheriff’s Department report.
At approximately 1 PM on Friday, Allegan County Central Dispatch received a call regarding a downed plane at Plainwell Airport located at 630 10th St. in Gun Plains Township. Upon arrival, deputies found a small plane that had crashed at the end of the runway.
Three passengers along with the pilot were onboard during the crash. The pilot and one of the passengers were transported to a local hospital for minor injuries. The two other passengers that were on the plane were treated at the scene and later released. The sheriff’s office was assisted by Plainwell Department of Public Safety, Gun Plains Fire Department, Plainwell EMS and Life EMS. The incident is still under investigation.
