HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Did you like what you saw from the star of the show in the Tulip Time Festival? How about having that bloom in your yard next year?
With a little money, a few tools and some old-fashioned Dutch hard work, you can get the bulbs from the tulips that were on display in the plantings on Windmill Island, Centennial Park and Window on the Waterfront. From 9 AM to 12 Noon on Saturday, the public can dig up those bulbs from those site for a 10-dollar fee, which goes towards the Holland in Bloom beautification contest effort. You will need to provide your own bucket, shovel, gloves and manpower.
The Holland in Bloom program is vying this year in the international Communities in Bloom competition after a number of years of success in the national America in Bloom competition.
