HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – After petitioning the Michigan Department of Natural Resources in June of 2016, Holland City Council is expected next month to adopt an ordinance extending the slow no-wake designation on Lake Macatawa within city limits.
The slow no-wake designation will include the entirety of the area known as the “Narrows” on Lake Macatawa to the west city limits and east to Superior Point. The ordinance will be considered to be in effect once passed by City Council with the final adoption on June 7, 2017. City staff will work with Park Township and the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department will increase wareness of enforcement of the ordinance.
