HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – As soon as you see it you take a double take and then think to yourself where’s the barbeque and am I invited.
It’s the ultimate outdoor living experience and it’s right on 8th Street and the corner of Central Avenue in downtown Holland. Crews from Hollandia Outdoor Living Concepts set up the space Tuesday evening where it will remain until Sunday at the close of the Tulip Time Festival.
Ross Hirdes is a Designer and Project Manager at Hollandia and was putting the finishing touches on the space Tuesday evening. He says they go all out on a marketing display during the Tulip Time and value investing back in the community and want people to enjoy the space.
“It’s the complete outdoor living experience. What we’re trying to convey is the cooking and just relaxing by the fireplace and patio. Some neat modern elements bring a fresh life to the space. Something relaxing and peaceful. Lot’s of tulips and color so it’s very fresh, but very simple. There is not a lot going on. We’ve incorporated some natural elements too.”
Also on hand helping with the space was Lucas Congdon of Lucas Lagoons in Florida.
“We have a show called Insane Pools on Animal Planet. I’m a guest here and we’ve collaborated on a few projects with Hollandia and love Holland Michigan. It’s beautiful. I’m from Vermont and the community and feel here reminds me of home. “
When asked if they were going to do any grilling, Hirdes said, “If you bring the prime rib, I’ll cook it.”
Hollandia Outdoor Living Concepts has been in business since 1965.
