HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – The star of this years Tulip Time Festival has never looked better.
WHTC News caught up with Tulip Time Executive Director Gwen Auwerda at the Tulip Time Run on Saturday, May 6. Auwerda says the tulips have never looked better.
“The cool weather has really held them. They are gorgeous and will continue to be through this week. We’re predicting full color and the cool night are helping, Having it be 60 degrees every day with a minimal chance of rain is gonna be fabulous.”
The Arts and Craft Fair was packed this weekend. The Rickert’s have been a part of the Fair for five years. At their booth called Denim Creations, James Rickert says he has never seen the tulips look so beautiful.
“They are so full. Hardly any of them are falling apart this year. I think the chilly weather has helped out.” The Rickerts also say the new sound system at Centennial Park and wifi has helped vendors at this year’s Arts and Craft Fair.
