HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – The National Day of Prayer is an annual day of observance designated by the United States Congress and held on the first Thursday of May.
According to Wikipedia, since it’s inception, the President as signed a proclamation encouraging all Americans to pray on this day.
Along the Lakeshore their are several churches that will participate and open their doors to the public on Thursday, May 4.
Lakeshore House of Prayer will hold a prayer service 7 p.m. They are located at 831 Lincoln Avenue in Holland.
Community Reformed Church in Zeeland is hosting a prayer service at 7:45 at the flagpole.
Lifequest Church in Zeeland will hold their prayer service at noon and 5:30 p.m.
Calvary Schools of Holland on 147th Avenue is meeting on the lawn before classes for a special prayer service.
