HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – The Annual Tulip Dig in Holland is this weekend and this year you’ll have your choice of three facilities to dig up the bulbs for your own garden.
The Tulip Dig is sponsored by the City of Holland and Holland in Bloom. Proceeds will support the City’s entry into the 2017 Communities in Bloom International Competition. Holland In Bloom is now taking the next step by accepting the prestigious invitation of Communities in Bloom to participate in the 2017 International Challenge, a competition featuring winners from a variety of national programs.
The three locations this year are Window on the Waterfront, Centennial Park and the large tulip field at Windmill Island Gardens. The cost for participation is $10 for a 5-gallon bucket. All necessary supplies, including the bucket, shovel, gardening gloves, and anything else required must be supplied by the participants.
The Annual Tulip Dig is May 20 from 9-12 p.m. rain or shine. You can check out Holland in Bloom on Facebook and Twitter for updates the morning of the Dig.
