HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Skin Cancer is the leading cause of death in the United States according to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention.
Screening is key and skin cancer found in it’s earliest stage is treatable. Spectrum Health in Holland is holding a free skin cancer screening with area dermatologists sponsoring the event.
On Tuesday, May 2, Dermatologists will perform SPOTme® skin cancer screenings. The SPOTme® skin cancer screening is a visual inspection of your uncovered skin and will be completed by a medical professional. No bloodwork is needed. If a follow-up appointment is recommended, medical professionals will provide additional education and referral information.
The screenings are from 5-7 p.m. and no appointment is necessary at the Spectrum Heallth Medical Group located at 588 East Lakewood Boulevard in Holland.
Screenings will also take place at the same time in Grand Rapids, Sparta, Cutlerville and Greenville.
If you have been diagnosed with cancer and would like a consultation or second opinion, call 1.855.SHCANCER (855.742.2623).
