MUSKEGON, MI (WHTC) – The man accused of kidnapping a teenager and killing two women will be in court Friday for a motion hearing.
Jeffrey Willis is charged with killing Jessica Heeringa and Rebekah Bletsch and kidnapping a 16-year-old girl in 2016 who later escaped.
A motion will be filed Friday by Muskegon County Prosecutor D.J. Hilson asking that all three cases be carried out in one trial on the grounds that much of the available evidence applies to all of Willis’ alleged crimes.
Willis’ attorneys will likely try to keep that from happening.
Wednesday was the fourth anniversary of Jessica Heeringa’s disappearance from her job at a Norton Shores gas station in 2013.
