ZEELAND, MI (WHTC) – A suspect in a string of larcenies in Zeeland has been arrested and is in custody.
After surveillance video revealed the suspect stealing a cancer donation jar from the Mobil gas station on the city’s west side, Zeeland Police arrested 20-year-old Brandon Lee-Wells Lacombe on Friday, April 21. According to their Facebook page, Lacombe was taken into custody without incident, but authorities have not located a stolen handgun used in a string of car larcenies.
The donation jar, which was put in place to help a U.S. Postal worker who is currently undergoing cancer treatments, contained approximately $100 when it was stolen on Wednesday, April 19.
Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of the handgun are asked to contact Zeeland Police Department by calling 911.
