HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – It doesn’t take long for kids to get bored in the Summer months, but summer camps will keep them busy. Ottawa County Parks offer a variety of camps for kids of all ages.
Part of Ottawa County Parks mission is to provide educational programs about the natural and cultural history of Ottawa County. Kristen Hintz who is Coordinator of Interpretive Services says it’s a place to build friendships too.
“It’s a place to do exploration and just to have that informal learning environment mixed with a lot of fun. We want to make the programs affordable for everyone. Really the cost just cover the hours of our naturalist guides. We do our best to make sure everyone can go to camp.”
In order to serve families with multiple children, Ottawa County Parks is offering three different camps at the same time and place.Weekly Day Camps like Early Sprouts, Nature Buds and Junior Naturalist are popular because they accomodate peoples schedules.
