ALLENDALE, MI (WHTC) – The issue of sexual assault continues to be one that Grand Valley State University’s Student Senate, among other groups, wants to address.
A town hall slated for Tuesday evening, according to organizers, is meant to follow up on a similar session held in September after four reported assaults of women off of the main Allendale campus since the start of the school year. Over a hundred people attended that meeting, and organizers are hopeful that a similar or better response will happen as the 2017 academic year winds down. During the Tuesday town hall, school officials will provide updates on campus safety, assault prevention and awareness efforts while answering questions from attendees.
The town hall is scheduled for 7 PM in the Grand River Room of the Kirkhof Center on the main GVSU campus in Allendale.
