GEORGETOWN TWP, MI (WHTC) – A three-vehicle crash injured a Jenison woman on Saturday, March 25.
Sgt. Brian Buter with the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office says 58-year-old Linda McDonald was eastbound on Baldwin Street around 12:26 p.m. when she failed to stop at a red light on 12th Avenue. Witnesses tell the Sheriff’s Office that the light has turned red for several seconds before McDonald had entered the intersection.
McDonald’s 2008 Honda struck a vehicle driven by 54-year-old Becky Simonds of Jenison which then struck Katelyn Ysquirdo’s vehicle. Both women were attempting to turn onto Baldwin Street.
McDonald was transported to Metro Hospital and Simonds and Ysquierdo were not injured in the crash.
The intersection was blocked for 30 minutes while authorities investigated the crash.
