3/26 Sunday: The Free @ 3 Concert Series at First Reformed Church of Holland- First Reformed Church was founded in 1847 when immigrants from the Netherlands built a log church in what is now Pilgrim Home Cemetery. The present building on the corner of 26th and State streets was built in 1962 and houses a thriving musical congregation. The sanctuary boasts a beautiful Mason & Hamlin grand piano which is used in many of the Free @ 3 concerts. It is also the home to a three manual, 39 rank, 1962 Casavant pipe organ. The chancel was remodeled in 2013 in part to accommodate the various musical groups which perform on the Free@3 series. This Sunday is Not Your Standard Fare! J. 3/27 Monday: Big Red Quilters Guild Presents Frieda Anderson at 895 Ottawa Beach Road, Holland- National award winner Frieda Anderson will present a lecture and trunk show of her art quilts made from vivid hand dyed fabrics. 895 Ottawa Beach Road, Holland; 7 PM; $5.
3/28 Tuesday: Knickerbocker Film Series – Things To Come- Nathalie is a philosophy teacher with a seemingly settled existence, juggling a rich life of the mind with the day-to-day demands of career and family. But beginning with the bombshell revelation that her husband of twenty-five years is leaving her, one by one the pillars of Nathalie’s life start to crumble. For the first time in ages, she finds herself adrift, but also with a newfound sense of liberation. With nothing to hold her back, Nathalie sets out to define this new phase of her life and to rediscover herself. 3/29 Wednesday: Culver’s Share Night Food and Fun for Ferals at Culvers in Grand Haven- Join A Feral Haven for food, coloring, and conversation. Help support the health and welfare of community cats in this area. Culver’s will generously share a portion of the proceeds with A Feral Haven. 3/30 Thursday: Succulent Planting Party at Garden Crossings- Looking for a reason to ‘get your hands dirty’? Join Garden Crossings on Thursday March 30 from 6:30-7:30 to create your very own succulent garden. They will have a large selection of succulents to choose from as well as an array of colorful pottery to plant in. Price will vary depending on which pottery you choose as well as how many succulents you choose to add to your arrangement. Supplies start around $5. 3/31 Friday: Delilah DeWylde at New Holland Brewing- Mixing their own self-penned songs with vintage country/honky tonk hits, rockabilly favorites, and surf gems by such artists as Hank Williams Sr., Johnny Cash, Wanda Jackson, Buck Owens, Gene Vincent, and Dick Dale, Delilah comes out on stage looking and sounding like a step back in time.
