GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WHTC) – We certainly have had our share of unusual weather in the last month and today on St. Patrick’s Day instead of seeing green, we’ll see white.
The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Ottawa and Allegan Counties until 4 p.m. today.
We’ll see an intense burst of snow most likely between 7 a.m. and noon, Snow will accumulate quickly and there could be a brief period of freezing rain. Visibility at times could only be a quarter mile or less with slippery roads.
The Michigan Department of Transportation says plan for a longer commute time today and to adjust your speed in snow and freezing rain.
