HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – A free six-week program designed to get residents into shape starts in April with the Ottawa County Parks system.
The program will have residents virtually walking 240 miles along regional trails in Michigan starting on Monday, April 3. The “Step It Up” walking challenge will have you walking is groups led by a naturalist guide throughout Ottawa and Allegan County Parks. Participants will track their progress online and the average walker usually walks 216 miles over the six week program.
Some of the parks you’ll walk in include Outdoor Discovery Center, Riley Trails, Hemlock Crossings and more.
Registration is online and open until April 10 and the first walk is April 8.
