GRAND HAVEN, MI (WHTC) – The City of Grand Haven is now more than halfway through it’s mark to restore the catwalk on the south pier.
The goal of the project was set at one-million dollars and City Manager Pat McGinnis says they’ve raised 545-thousand dollars to date. McGinnis says the catwalk will be put back on the pier “reasonably soon” thanks to the donations.
It was removed last summer while the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers got started on a repair project to the south pier.
