HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Plenty of work is ahead for Holland City Council members tonight.
Among the many items on the bi-weekly meeting agenda is a request to approve agreements with Wisconsin-based General Capital Group for tax abatements towards the construction of a 54-unit “workforce affordable” housing development off of River Avenue, across from both City Hall and Centennial Park; a first step towards establishing an Industrial Development District off of on East 48th Street to help facilitate a planned expansion by LG Chem of a lithium-ion battery-making plant; and to authorize the city’s Parks and Recreation Department to apply for a 75 thousand-dollar state DNR Recreation Passport Grant to pay the lion’s share of a proposed new dog park at the Van Raalte Farm site.
Tonight’s meeting is in Council Chambers at Holland City Hall, beginning at 7 PM.
