WASHINGTON, DC (WHTC) – President Trump will address a joint session of Congress Tuesday, February 28 at 9 p.m.
This will be Trump’s biggest speech since his inauguration and you can watch it live online on WHTC and on the radio at 1450 WHTC. Plans for a boost in defense spending to the tune of 54-billion dollars and Trump’s first budget proposal will be presented to Congress this week.
The President described the military as “depleted” and says “We have to start winning wars again” and is pledging a big increase in defense spending. Trump has also vowed to go big on infrastructure spending. He said the federal government must lead efforts to fix a wide variety of problems, from potholes to bridges.
Trump has called Obamacare a “failed disaster” and said it must be repealed and replaced with something better.
Former Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear will deliver the Democratic response to the President’s speech.
