HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – The former owner and operator of Teerman’s in downtown Holland has passed away at the age of 80.
James “Jim” Teerman was born on December 25, 1936 to Ralph and Emma Teerman. He began working at Teerman’s with his Dad at the age of 14. A member of Christ Memorial Church, Jim is survived by his wife of 53 years, Salome; daughters, Sandy and Mike Voss, Susan and Mark Vander Jagt; 5 grandchildren, Tyler, Anna and Alec Voss, Ross and Noah Vander Jagt; brothers and sister, Lee and Lou Teerman, Al and Mary Teerman, John and Norma Teerman, Ruth and Don Klaasen; in-laws; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services are at 3:00 p.m. Monday, February 27 in the sanctuary of Christ Memorial Church located at 595 Graafschap Road with Rev. Dewey Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrim Home Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Holland Christian and Christ Memorial Church.
