HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – People came out in record numbers to Walk for Warmth for the Community Action Agency’s annual fundraiser.
Along with matching funds from Consumer’s Energy this year’s Walk for Warmth brought in $26,000 with more donations still coming in. Over 250 people walked in support of the range of programs the agency funds. The agency thanks those who walked, sponsors and the community for their support.
Last year their programs assisted over 3,500 qualified households in Ottawa County. Program Manager Paula Huyser. says they have a variety of programs and services for families for low income families with the biggest one is the utility assistance program.
