WYOMING, MI (WHTC) – Three persons are behind bars after a Thursday police chase that began at a West Olive residence ended with a crash in front of an apartment complex in Wyoming.
No names were immediately disclosed in the late morning incident in which Ottawa County Sheriff’s Deputies first responded to a burglary report of a home off of Blair Street. A white SUV was spotted pulling out of a driveway and the eastbound chase was on, reaching speeds of nearly 100 miles an hour at times, and involving four other law enforcement entities.
Several times stop sticks were deployed but the chase didn’t end until the suspects’ vehicle lost control and rolled over off of Byron Center Avenue near Fox Run Road, north of 44th Street, about 20 minutes after it had begun. A woman driver and two male passengers in the SUV refused medical treatment at the scene. No other vehicles were involved.
The incident remains under investigation.
