HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Two Holland schools shined on stage bringing home several awards following a State competition.
The 2017 Michigan Interscholastics Forensics Association State Competitive Theatre Championship took place in Charlotte at the State Theatre Festival over the weekend. Holland High took home two state championships in Division 1 and another award for backstage management.
Holland Christian High School won first place in Main Stage Division for “Lend me a Tenor” and was also awarded the People’s Choice Award.
Holland High’s production of “Triumph of Love” won the Main Stage Division and “Agnes of God brought home a Division 1 champion title in the Studio Theatre State Competition. A special awards called the Golden Truck Award was also given to the school for it’s back-stage work.
On Tuesday, February 21, you can catch an encore performances of the award winning plays, but you’ll have to choose.
At the Holland High School Performing Arts Center an encore performance takes place at at 7 p.m. Tickets are available online or at the door.
