HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Ottawa County Parks will be busy this weekend with the spring-like weather and the park passes for 2017 are now on sale.
There are 38 parks and open spaces in the Ottawa County Park system with only five requiring a parking fee during the summer and a sixth requires a boat launch fee. From Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend, fees are collected at North Beach Park, Kirk Park, Tunnel Park, Olive shores and Rosy Mound Natural Area.
Annual permit pricing for 2017 is:
$15 for Resident.
$7 for Senior Residents
$5 Resident multi-vehicle annual pass
$25 Non-resident
$20 Resident hang tag
The resident hang tag in new this year says Jessica Van Givhover of Ottawa County Parks. “If you don’t like stickers or if you’ve got more than two cars or host people for the Summer who may want to head to a park the hang tag is for you. Parking passes are available at out administrative office on Fillmore Street, the Nature Education Center at Hemlock Crossings and at our parks in the summer. To avoid having to wait in line we’re having an free open house before the summer season at Kirk Park Lodge May 6 from 2-5 p.m.”
Park passes will be available for pre-sale at the open house. VanGinhoven also reminds residents that the Kirk Park Lodge is available to rent for events in the summer.
