ZEELAND, MI (WHTC) – An afternoon filled with live music and ten different kinds of chili awaits you in Zeeland this weekend.
The second annual Plaiderday Chili Crawl is made up of ten different businesses downtown that host a tasting location for participants to come in and try all types of chili. Last year temperatures were in the low 60’s and this weekend another warm up is in the forecast with partial sunshine and temps in the low to mid 50’s.
“Some of the chili are from restaurants, some from stores, some are from professional chefs or your regular joe blow who made the chili for that day.” says Zeeland mayor Kevin Klynstra.
Participants can purchase tickets at Tripelroot located at 146 East Main Street $20 Tickets include an event t-shirt, chili tasting score card and access to all 10 chili tasting locations.. The chili crawl kicks off and ends at Tripelroot. Event participants are invited turn in their completed chili tasting score cards and stick around for an awards ceremony and after party.

Tripelroot who is sponsoring the event will provide fresh baked bread for all ten chili tasting locations. The event runs from 2-5 p.m. Saturday, February 18.
