HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Valentines Day rallies are taking place across the country and at at Zeeland Congressman Bill Huizenga’s Grandville Office too.
MoveOn members will be at Huizenga’s office at 4 p.m. today to request town hall meetings. The organization says many members of Congress haven’t yet scheduled town hall meetings with constituents for the February congressional recess, which is February 18-16.
WHTC was alerted to the rally from post to our Facebook page. The organization will be visiting the offices of senators and reporsentativess today with a clear demand, “Let’s Make a Date! Host a Town Hall!”
The rally is at 4 p.m. at Huizenga’s Grandville Office located at 4555 Wilson Ave in Grandville.
WKZO Radio reports that a group called the Michigan People’s Campaign say they have been trying to arrange a meeting with Congressman Fred Upton for weeks to share their stories about how the Affordable Care Act has helped them, but they have been turned down each time. Today on Valentine’s Day they plan to deliver heart shaped Valentine’s Day Cards to his office, each with a personal message about the ACA at noon.
